I’m Shauntel.

I’m a simple midwest girl and lover of travel, books, laughter, Disney, football and chocolate. I’m an awkward introvert (that’s a fun combo, right?!) and leader of a multi-million dollar social media business built on faith, community, authenticity & courage. I’m so thrilled you stopped by my little corner of the internet!

On paper, my life is pretty simple and average at best. I have a degree in history, a minor in psychology and a masters degree in education. But I have never been a teacher. Ha! I married the man that I started dating when I was 16 years old and he is still the man of my dreams. I have two awesome kids (19 & 11) who truly are my biggest blessings! I don’t excel in hobbies such as: crafting (although I am a master at buying things), photography (love taking pictures, but ask me about aperture, exposure, etc and I will look at you like you are crazy), writing (spell check is my best friend), cooking, singing, or anything in between. I’m super average and I’ve learned to be proud of that through the years!

So what business does a girl like me have writing a blog? I love life. I find beauty in the normal, everyday ups/downs/average events of life. Here I share stories of my life experiences, tips and tricks I’ve learned, inspiration for living a life you love, my health journey, my business journey, documenting family recipes…and life as it comes along. I stumbled into the entrepreneur life in 2012 and through that, sharing my story and things I’ve learned along the way has bloomed into a fun passion of mine. Working from home has been my reality for over 9 years now and I absolutely love that…I wake up grateful every day. But I wanted to be able to share with you other things that get me excited!!! I get a natural high when talking about all things inspiring, funny, hacks I’ve found, lessons learned as a wife & mom, good deals, recipes I’ve discovered, awkward moments and anything in between. I have lots of goals, dreams, big thoughts, great friends, and a family who loves me unconditionally. I hope what I share brings you nothing but happiness and is inspiring, helpful and maybe even a bit entertaining! Our home is a joyful one, and while our lives aren’t perfect, I aim to choose happiness everyday. My hope is that I can breathe a little bit of inspiration/laughter/or at the very least, confidence into you knowing if somebody like me can find excitement in this “average” life, you can too.
